As far as it was stated by several people: it involves a minor's ability to decide what they are, arbitrarily marking 'a person who wants their dick off' as not one of the things they were capable of declaring. That they were (and are) UNABLE to consent to such actions.
I agree with not doing these things until puberty, but that's because I would want the person to experience (for a small while) what it is that they are wanting rid of... only acting after their decision (and to be sure it very clearly is their decision).
But *regardless*, if castrating them fulfills the goal they want to fill... I'd see that they get a chance to do so. After their sex drive activates is a preference of mine, but then: I'd also prefer they have sex before they say what they want with sex. Sometimes, reality comes by and shits on everything we believe
Mind... even before puberty, if they express *enough* interest in the subject for a long enough period of time: I'll let someone hang themself with their own decision. I don't have to agree with someone to stand aside... only to respect them.
