First you must determine if the "Christian" you are speaking to believes that the Bible is "infallible" or "inerrant".

This Christian (me), can conscientiously reject anything that isn't good. What's worse for "them", is that I can back up that position with scripture...

With catfish, you have to understand that you aren't dealing with a Christian in any known sense of the word. Apart from his own sense, which is laughingly backed up by scripture, according to him. On his own. Allowing for fatal mistakes, because there are bits missing that would make him right. But he's just guessing at that. Oh and he was born with belief. He did not rationalise it. It was not a decision. At the age of 3 he realised this, and began prophesying. He's a bit of a one kid phenomenon actually.
