There's actually a simple technique you can do right here on the forum for avoiding coming off as arrogant or indeed anything we don't mean to be. Here's where I'll sound hypocritical for not always practising what I preach (as it were).
Basically it's three steps:
Step 1 - Compose your post, in as much detail as you like;
Step 2 - Preview it to check for errors and to make sure it says everything you want it to say;
Step 3 - Delete it.
Works every time!
