I have a foot tattoo which I got almost 20 years ago... it was an awful experience, even though it only took about fifteen minutes. Now it's a foot blob and I have to get it covered. I'm not looking forward to that day. I just got six hours worth of work done on my back... lots of vibrant, and extremely painful, colors. I hate the pain, but love the result.

OP, I like the idea of an owl. Keep in mind, colors are more painful than black. Lidocaine helps, but only works where the skin has been pierced already. Good luck!
