I saw this documentary not long ago - I wish I could recall the title. There was a scene where a polar bear staked out a small breathing hole in the ice - and killed a freaking adult beluga whale, and then pulled it out of the water through the hole. Much nomming of said whale ensued.
Considering that an adult beluga is (often considerably) larger than an adult polar bear, I can only conclude: Polar bears are badass.
