Earth - Proof of God?

That's odd. Many years ago, I was a Christian. I wasn't raised a Christian, my parents were strictly secular - I came to it of my own accord when I was a young man. I had faith. I set aside my skepticism. I wanted to live in God's presence and glorify him.

I earnestly and humbly sought God, under the guidance of both my pastor and prayer group leader. They assured me, as you do, that if I did as as instructed in the bible (A/S/K), that I would find God as they had.

I did so for years, to the best of my ability. I found nothing.

I call bullshit.

Dozens if not hundreds of times over a period of years. I didn't seek God out of a desire to avoid divine retribution, I did so out of a desire to live righteously as God wanted.

Did God illuminate any unrepentant sins in your life that kept you from God?

Did you read what I wrote? Nothing was revealed to me.

Oh, I tried to lead a righteous life. When I sinned, I prayed for forgiveness and did my best to learn from and not repeat my mistakes. I prayed for guidance to live righteously, at least daily.
