Some people are bitchy all the time because they never had anything really bad happen to them. First world problems, and all that jazz.
Horrible things can be done to bitchy people to stop them from bitching so readily.
When that bitchy person is a spouse or close friend... that only makes it easier to do absolutely horrible things to them. They may not be your friend afterwards, but you've done them a favor for life. They won't bitch as much to their next spouse or other close friends
