No, you're being dense. The article is saying that religion is bad, and that one particular religion is good.
They don't see their own flaws, sure. But are those flaws the religion or the people in the religion? They believe it's the flawed people. Jesus condemned the religious, and that stands today, and when we're talking Christianity.
