Why hate Athiest?

Well it is a broad generalization to assume that all religious people hate non religious people.
But for those religious people who do I suppose it is due to a variety of reasons. Fear? lack of understanding ignorance?

I don't hate religious people,well there are some I hate but I don't hate someone simply because they have a different worldview than I but because of the way they are.It is the religion I don't like.

What irritates me more than the ones who are more obvious in the ones of their hate are the ones who say things like "I will pray for you" etc.
