After studying the cause and effect of the universe, I don't think it is logical to have kids at all if the objective aim is less suffering. There are 7 billion people out there already that need more compassion and education. Adoption makes a lot more sense in terms of sustainability.
But I appreciate I must be in a <1% of people who actually believe that and don't have a cognitive dissonance about it. For example, I genuinely don't understand why abortions need to happen. If you don't want a kid, don't put a penis in a vagina. It's pretty fucking obvious what the consequences are by now and people still do it.
It's the same with this plastic thing. It's just too obvious that people still wouldn't significantly care even if I showed them all and provided a solution. People are actually too emotionally attached to plastic living. It's truly incredible how unnecessary it is.
