Religion; a belief in something with no supporting evidence, is not equatable to the desire for sex or plastic use. Maybe plastic use, if there are solutions, as it's not logical to continue using material that harms the world we live in - just like it's not logical to believe something exists when there is nothing suggesting it does.
Even when two people don't want to create a child, they decide the small chance is worth taking to have sex. I forgot how you even managed to equate sex with religion in the first place, so let me correct the reasoning you used when you introduced the comparison.
Quote:why care about the consequences and mistakes of people believing in god? God can be awesome - and that's why it happens. People don't want this world but still want faith. Not a complex concept. The desire for sex - sex, which is an act. The desire to believe in 'god' - something that has over a billion definitions and each instance of that something having the same amount of supporting evidence: 0. They're not the same thing. Both of them having possible undesired consequences isn't grounds to equate them to eachother.
