Regardless who made the mess, it affects everyone on this earth, and there's no way we can solve it by just one or two countries attempting to clean it up. If we are going to do anything constructive then it's the responsibility of everyone to try and fix.
Maybe it can't be fixed, but we should at least try instead of fobbing it off on other people as though it is only their problem.
Oh, and btw, I'm pretty sure the sieve idea was just a joke, unless downbeatplumb corrects me if I'm wrong.
