Agreed. I think religion is foolish for the most part, but I am fair enough to know that is my opinion. At least, I try to be.

Well, yes, but my political stance would not be based on religion. It would be based on the lunacy of whipping people and stealing their things.

It is not. I would not base my political views on my lack of religion. I would determine whether it was a healthy government before I would accept or deny the principles of that government. Of course, I would not live in a theocratic society on basis of belief in god, not because of the politics involved.
