Though I do hope it is the claims that are attacked and not the adherents. As you are probably aware I could pull horrific examples of atrocities done in the aim of freeing a place from religion - but this would not, logically speaking, really be undermining the ontological claims of Atheism....
It wouldn't be nice to discuss with someone who has a false 'holier than thou' attitude: regardless of religious persuasion
