You have to take that responsibility yourself, by eighter standing to your point! Or simply stating that you didnt think that argument through and that you were wrong.

It has nothing to do with whatever whom you were writing with. The fact remains that you wrote what you wrote and that it is racist. And that you probably didnt even notice that it was racist - because you didnt think it through.
