Atheism is not a choice,but an inescapable conclusion for those with the capacity for critical thinking and the ability to stop living in state of permanent denial.
I'm what's called "an agnostic atheist".That means I assert "'I do not believe in god(s) due to lack of evidence" I do NOT assert "there is no god" or even " I believe there is no god" for the same reason. I make no claims, I merely state my disbelief. I offer no explanations for anything 'as an atheist'.That's because there is no such thing as 'an atheist position' on ANY subject other than the non existence of god. .
Perhaps go away and have a look at "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, or far better "Why I Am Not A Christian" by Bertrand Russel.
