Materialism is still stuck in the stone age as far as to where mind come from.

What we know is that, without a brain, your mind has no discernible representation.
Without parts of the brain, your mind is different.
To me, this puts the mind in the very physical brain and not outside of the universe.

The brain is housing the mind as a car is housing a driver.
You are the driver.
Unfortunately materialism think that there is no distinction between the two. Again materialism is still floating in the stone age.
Yoga is 7000 years old but is more modern then today materialism.
