The other day, when I was biking to work, I saw an old man fall doen at a corner, his pseudowalker sliding 3 feet away. There were other people 10 ft away...
I was on a bike approaching and at first I felt uncertain, stopping in front of someone in clear distress. Then I extended my gloved hand and helped him up, letting him use my bike as a "walker" to brace while I leaned over and retrieved his walker.
He limped away, horrifically embarassed at his accidental weakness. I continued on my way to work.
I felt proud that when no one else wanted to, I took charge.
A measure of character.
I want to be man enough to stand up for people like Creed if I witnessed an attack. I think I can. I will know it when I see it
