This hanging of crosses above doors, I've noticed that in quite a few houses. I am pretty sure that if a case study was made, that crosses above doors are more detrimental than beneficial because when doors slam closed crosses fall on heads and/or limbs, damage floors, etc. while houses without crosses above doors ward of the exact same amount of evil.
