Any American can and should apologize for the crimes our government commits. And you pretend to have the moral authority to suggest I shouldn't.

I don't think that an entire society is responsible or accountable for the decisions made by its rulers or even supported by its majority. If you want to apologize for your government, then that's fine. But my only point is that there isn't a need to do so. Were you directly responsible for the atrocities commited? If not, then why are you apologizing?
