And then they get pissed when someone laughs at it or slaps it with a little stick. WTF were you expecting when no one else had showed you theirs yet?
That's what I was thinking as I saw some of the recent topics/posts by new members, particularly the ones who quickly cried out "bullying!" It is not difficult to either (a)read the site for a few hours (or days) before joining, or (b)take a cautious approach as you get acquainted with the place.
Or you can take a flying leap into the pool before checking if there's any water in it. Some people like surprises, after all. Or at least they think they do.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
