An infinite and nonrepeating string might never contain the digit 1 followed by the digit 2, though it would still be infinite. Well, there's a probability associated with getting a 1 then a 2 right after it. You have an infinite amount of "pairs" of numbers you'll be getting, therefore it will happen, unless the probability is zero (i.e. impossible) which it certainly isn't. Therefore it'll occur.
