The people who are protesting have all the right to do so.
Just, considering where they are living, they shouldn't expect that protest to have any effect.
The UK is not in the habit of making that kind of laws... not for their own CoE, nor for any other religion.
Given that it shouldn't have any effect, if they really do wish to live in a place that has the kind of laws they protested in favor of, then they should move to such a place.
