The Scripture you quoted actually comes from the Annals of the Kings of Judah and Israel (two separate books lost probably around 586 BCE just shortly before the Torah was compiled).
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
