No, we know how good these things can be, but we don't give a shit because we don't want to fall into sin by disobeying God. Whether something comes from God or not makes all the difference to us, that is the fundamental reason, the raison d'etre if you will, not raison d'etat haha couldn't resist. Although theologically of course it is in the national interest.
