I agree with Ryantology. That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. The Illuminati I think is the way some people try to personify or "put a face" to corruption. There isn't some all powerful force at work but rather a series of corrupt forces that act independently of one another. People prone to believing in conspiracy theories try to find connections where none exist and thus end up with conjecture. Humans are inherenlty self-interested so corruption is the natural result when you give someone enough power to satiate their desires without concern for ideal. To follow this idea to its logical conclusion, I don't think any such group could exist, because it would consist of a group of seriously toxic individuals who would end up trying to back stab one another into absolute power. Seeing as there is no supreme ruler of the world and how the elements needed to attain such power are too far spread to be concentrated, it seems to be highly improbable.

“Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.”
