The "truth" doesn't offend me. I'm not offended. The staff (monitors) can speak for themselves; in fact, that's what my post was telling you. They speak for themselves, not for the forums, not for the staff. They may speak for the staff at times (i.e. when stating a decision), but not all of what they say is how the rest of us feel.

It isn't objective for a staff member to be insulting, I agree, but we've never made the claim that the staff are objective in their words or beliefs. However, the decisions made by the staff are arrived at as objectively as possible. It is standard practice for staff who are too involved in a situation to remove themselves from the decision making process; most of the time this is done by the staff member themselves, but we may ask a staff member specifically to remove themselves from the decision making process if the rest of us feel there is a conflict of interests.
