I'm very late to the party, but I thought I might add what I've been thinking on this topic:
Does time necessarily have to be stacked up by a conscious being? No, I think that claim is unsupported by the OP. For all we know, there's a mechanism that does it which isn't the same as a being who is all-powerful, all-knowing and has moral values and desires.
