Yes, you have defined S1 and S2 as such. Here's a refresher:

S1= {U(1), U(2), ….}, S2={U(-∞), U(-∞+1), U(-∞+2),….}
So that's an assumption. Your conclusion S1 is finite, S2 cannot exist is just circular.
