We have Jesus stating that God cannot let sins go.
St. Paul also talks about poor deeds on Earth (buildings) not withstanding Judgement (fire), and the doer of these deeds (the builder) still being saved, even though he had to get through flames (suffering) first.
"Nothing unclean, or anyone who does anything detestable, and no one who tells lies will ever enter [the Holy City]" Revelation 21:27
Every sin is accounted for and is incompatible with Heaven.

"Therefore [Judas MAccabeus] made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin." 2 Maccabees 12:46
