Close but no cigar. The atomospheric average temperature hasn't been rising as much as we originally thought it would over the past roughly ten years.
Why?
Because our oceans are currently absorbing the increasing temperatures. This is understood now. But the atmospheric average temp is going to start rising again very soon. Then it's going to be the oceans turn again. It's going to seasaw back and forth. Fucking up everything.
Get ready to start figuring out how to replace your fish and lobster dinners with jelly fish. Probably it's going to take a lot of ketchup to make that palatable.
