Why, why, why?

The reason why this universe exist and will exist is because the balance is kept all the time and in order to maintain this balance is necessary to make sure that the positive and the negative are there all the time.
Your computer and your monitor are plug to the socket and that allow you to use this things in this very moment. They also need the positive and the negative to work as everything else.
Without the balance the universe would go for ever, that however does not mean that also God would go as this universe is just a mental projection of the cosmic mind (God)

There's a plus and a minus pole on my computer power chord and therefore God exists?



Now replace "God" with "Karma" and I'm starting to get interested, although of course also Karma doesn't lend itself well to such trivializations.
