Joss Whedon doesn't seem the sort to take Shakespeare and bastardize it. From the trailer, it seems that the script is at least based on the same one Shakespeare wrote. Also, he's using actors who frequently appear in his TV shows; the chemistry between them is brilliant, and their acting ability is too.

I can't wait to see an Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof love scene! I'm so glad someone else recognized his past actors.
