Latin is pretty awesome. Fun fact: our words for "soul", "mind" and "consciousness" derive from the word animus. I have the feeling that this is why sentient beings are called animals, because they display signs of having any one of those things I mentioned. So much for humanity being placed on a pedestal by a god :p
I don't think I ever used the word "moral" in the OP.
You're talking about something altogether different to the sensus divinitatis which, as stated first by Calvin, gives us the sense to detect the divine.
