As far as fear of Hell, all it takes is to realize that the human mind will not survive death because our minds reside solely in our brains. Once you brain dies, so does your mind. There is absolutely no evidence for a soul, and even if something like that did exist, how would it feel pain? I think if I did survive death and ended up in Hell, I'd have to laugh at it because I'd know that the fire burning me and the rats gnawing at my entrails aren't real, to borrow a phrase from "The Shining," "Just like pictures in a book."
