That's my buddy Richard Spall. He's awesome. When I left for my run, he kept me updated on the madness.
But yeah, I couldn't believe how many of those fuckers were espousing Christian love and then deciding at the drop of a dime that the devil was in me.
You'll notice his pseudonym, Eric Hetvile, is an anagram of "vile heretic".

When you're interacting with just your friends, it's pretty cool. I have some hilarious friends, and I've made some even more hilarious friends off of intellectually good groups/pages. Like the HP Lovecraft Historical Society's page, or the Monster Talk Podcast page - those people are interested in cool things, or sciencey things, and many of them are hysterically funny.
Social media depends largely on how you use it. I don't travel onto posts like these expecting to find the bright bulbs in the box. I went there to troll, and it was like shooting fish in a barrel. It also proved my point yet again that Christards HAVE NO FUCKING SENSE OF HUMOR. Seriously, if I said things like I did in a skeptic venue, people would laugh and banter back. Make fun of Jesus though and WOOOOOOOOO BUDDY, you better put on your boots, bucko, cuz it's goin' DOWN. Actually, I don't think I even made fun of Jesus, I just teased the people personally, and for that I was insulting to God.
