Yeah, I get that, but I think that's mostly true about Christians only when you say something bad about Jesus and/or when you mock their religion. Same thing with Muslims.
If you talk to them about some other topics (and you're not mocking their beliefs), then I don't think that their sense of humor nor anything else about them is noticeably different from atheists nor anyone else. They only get pissy when you joke about or insult their prophets or their God, while some of them do have the strength to ignore. I think even atheists in this forum would have a similarly hostile reaction if a theist member started to mock Richard Dawkins, Hitchens, Tyson, or some other famous atheist.
Also, I think this is mainly a matter of perspective. Many atheists have the opinion that theists are arrogant, rude, insulting, immature, lack sense of humor, etc. On the other hand, on some of the religious forums that I've been a part of, I've heard theists describing you guys (atheists) with almost the same exact qualities mentioned above. The point is, your understanding of theists (Christians, specifically) is just your own point of view because in fact they also have the same opinions about atheists as you have about them.
