For myself, I would say, "I take no interest in heaven and hell, but I do care that people are faithful out of fear that if they were to wrong their religion... they would believe that they would be condemned to torture in hell".

I guess it comes down to thinking of others... like if You think rehabilitation is an option for those You would normally cast aside.
I am not responsible for the universe. That's first. Second there is nothing but Nature and what will happen will happen no matter you love it or not. (I know that inevitability is violated in quantum physics to some extent, but it doesn't matter)

Of course I try to help others when I can. I do that instinctively. But in my heart I think of the infinity of the universe so all problems seem trivial and seem as one would be foolish if he cared much about them. And of course I "care" about my beloved ones but I meant to say that I didn't care about major issues.
