Fucking Cops

rexbeccarox -- how long ago did this occur? Did you speak with an attorney?

This was eight and a half years ago. I talked to an attorney, but only for a plea bargain because I was charged with assault on a cop, obstruction of justice, and harassment of a cop. Basically, my lawyer told me the judge's brother was a cop and he didn't take kindly to people assaulting them. My lawyer plead me down to just the obstruction charge, which would have gotten me a bunch of community service. When I went in front of the judge, he asked if i understood everything, I said yes, and he smiled at me and told me he was dropping all charges. Later that day, I found out the cop had been fired and they were adding the cameras because of me and a few other females complaining about the same cop.

This ordeal happened in Upstate NY, just before I was moving out here to California, and I would have sued if I didn't want to just get the fuck out of there. Justice was done for the most part, IMO, although I learned a few years ago the charges were still on my record, so I had to fight to get them expunged.

Oh and by the way... I was SO not guilty. The cop was just a big fat (literally) asshole. One of those who you know was bullied in high school or something.
