I just thought I'd thow my opinion out there. I haven't toldy family for this reason. A few people know, like a cousin. However most of my extended family would disown me on the spot. Why would I want to deal with that drama? They cause enough drama as it is.
Personally since they already know, I'd try to make the best of the situation. It can be a learning experience. You need to arm yourself though. If they are going to try and convert you back, you need to understand their position better than they do. Well, you don't need to, but it helps.
