No, he said that taxation is good as long as the government uses a portion of the money for public welfare. I don't see anything about thieving or violence.

All governments are not the same - they work on different principles and political ideals. Thus blandly declaring that all have failed the test of morality is foolish. And even if they had, it still wouldn't make it illogical.
