Yeah, I don't have a reason to back anyone in any sport.
Just because I was born and live in a certain place doesn't mean I should support the assholes who play for the local football teams. I'd much rather just play a sport myself. I've never really understood why people get so worked up over a single team or player.
I think the reason people get worked up is because they talk shit! Lol, I've found that as long as I don't go around making promises for teams that they can't deliver, it's not at all as easy to get worked up. Watching The Cowboys play football goes way back to my childhood. I have memories of that stadium, hanging from the goal post, going to the games with my dad, and watching them every Sunday. Sometimes my dad would sneak me out of church with him to go to the diner around the corner to watch the game while my mom and sister were in church. I love the game, I play it on a recreational level, but love to watch it played by professionals because I appreciate how difficult it is. I back the team that my memories of the game are interwoven with. I want them to win, but I agree with you that it is certainly not the end of the world if they don't. Sadly, that has been the case as of late
