Hello Jamie, and welcome to the forums! I used to be a creationist too. Oh and Baptist
So I'm sure other posters will sufficiently suffice for your questions about abiogenesis, so I thought I'd start off by welcoming you and answering the sun question.
It is not burning as hot as a flame, it's burning hotter. The sun is a giant ball of gases and is actually made mostly of Hydrogen. We know this from pictures that are able to take pictures of elements. The core of the sun uses the process of fusion in which it fuses 4 hydrogen atoms to make 1 helium atom, releasing radiation, energy, and light. The sun loses 400 Million tons every second in this process, thus it is burning constantly and will eventually putter out like stars do that we are able to observe in the final stage of their existence.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
