THEN,I got a phone call from a friend while I was in the hospitals she was basically saying god is real because all the time I would have died but didn't.(suicide)Then I went into how I feel about everyone has a purpose and we are connected in a way.
The she said "What you said is exactly what the bible says" and I was like many religions have a common morale and she was like "No"
she also says that no religion can be proven you have to go by faith.
she also mentioned having a relationship god
It may not be to a high degree but I'm feeling a lot of pressure to convert and it annoying
It disgusts me the way the religious will try to push their faith on the mentally ill as if it were as effective as medication. What is sad is a lot of those who are mentally ill will end up clinging to god - I walked out of a group prayer started by a patient at a meeting in the psych ward. There's also partial hospitalization/day programs that sometimes people go to after being hospitalized to be watched over and helped and I cannot tell you how often 'God' was mentioned or thanked while I was in one of those (shitty, stupid as fuck) programs.
