It ruins the binary opposition that has been established (gay/straight). The only work that I can think of which even touches on it is Alfred Kinsey, but he didn't work on causes of bisexuality, only taking inventory of people's sexuality on a scale.

in my opinion that is the most psychologically evolved outlook, but what about the biological aspects of it?
