Hello guys,
I'm Shadowninjax from Nepal. I am 21 and glad to be part of this wonderful forum. Nepal is mostly a hindu country. With hinduism as the major religion.
Hinduism is all fantasy with gods with million hands and heads and what not. I believe it to be a total B.S. I believe they are still continuing it just because the majority still believes in it in our country, and its deeply rooted in the society.
But for me I was raised in a christian family who converted from hinduism to christianity when I was just a year old or so.
Since then, I'v been forced into believing in God. I really didn't like the idea of being forced to go to church every sunday or so. Nor did I really believe in Bible. I was a christian by religion, but I always doubted the practices and beliefs.
After living in a christian community for almost 21 years. I have concluded that christians aren't themselves holy or so. They make others believe they live a holy life, but I have encountered many Pastors being unfaithful. Also many christians are in church simply because they are provided with financial support from other big countries. Christians I have found, are mostly more selfish and greedy than normal people. What an irony that is.
Christianity itself is a mess as I have found all these years. Jesus was a good man, but that's all. We don't know even if he existed. There is no proof.
I have decided that the way to no God, i.e Atheism, is best for me. So, lately I have been looking around on making atheist friends.
I also joined this form, so I could talk to fellow atheists and learn how to defend against religious beliefs. I hope i can learn a lot from fellow atheists here.
See you around guys, and no offence to religious folks here, the above is my own conclusion and beliefs. It shall not keep you from being friends with me. I am open to all people, as long as you follow George Carlin's rule " Keep thy religion to yourself". And we'll tag along just fine.
