Perfection is a word that describes the qualities of God. Not, the other way around.(God has to meet the definition of perfect, inorder to be God.)
Quote: I mean, according to the bible, God is a jealous god. OK, but if there was nothing before he created it, why get jealous of anything?
God describes Himself as "I am" which means God is whom ever He wants to be. Not the being we think should be God.
Quote:Especially since he's also supposed to be all-knowing and knows everything that's ever happened and everything that ever will, so he creates humans he knows will worship other gods but yet he gets jealous anyway (and therefore wrathful).
If you know your wife was cheating on you with your neighbor, and then you catch them in the act, will you not be angry because you already knew she was cheating?
Quote:No, god was made in man's image. God was made jealous and wrathful as a way to control other people.
if He were then wouldn't He fit your definition of God (this "perfect" being you/man thinks He should be?) doesn't autonomy from man's idea of God speak to an indivisual not created by man?
