If God doesn't exist then what does? It will have to be eternally existent matter/energy by itself. There won't be a cause or reason for it it's just there as it is.

Or there could be an answer we just don't know yet. You proposing a wrong answer doesn't mean the only other option is nothing at all. Keeping an open mind isn't a weakness. Quit the false dichotomies.

I'm saying God created and finely engineered the laws of physics and that's why the universe exists. I'd say God is better because you have a reason for what we can actually observe to exist, rather than it being just there for no reason without an explanation.

So you're just desperate for any answer, regardless of whether it's true or not?
