I am assuming you mean indirect fire, as in a mortar attack, or even a ricochet. But it also can mean indigious defensive fighter, or Irael defense force.
Let me point the fact out to you again that the walls and roads are made of concrete. How many forward operating/fire bases you've been on with solid concrete walls, and roads? There is a reason FOB's are not typically constructed out of concrete. IDF's are apart of that reason.
The following is a link to how our FOB's are constructed. Another nail in the coffin of that pic is the road they are standing next to it is also concrete, which is against the standard MO for a FOB. Fob's are to have gravel, earthen or even asphalt roads, Not concrete.
Again Concrete frags when hit when causes a greater damage than the shell it self would. So evidently if they are standing in a place with painted concrete walls with concrete roads the Army is pretty sure they are not in Harm's way. Which is what my problem is with that pic. They are saying they are in Harm's way (Per the actual definition of a Fox Hole) when they are in a safe place.
