I presume you haven't been to Italy? Not only is the place arse deep in centuries old churches,many have at least one rancid body part of some obscure saint.If you're really lucky,you get to see an entire mouldering cadaver in a glass case.The Italians are almost as superstitious as the Irish.
At last count there were three churches in Italy with the head of John The Baptist.
